Stab-in Casing Float Collar And Float Shoe API or As required
The Stab-In Float Collar & Shoe technique represents a superior approach for cementing large diameter casings. This method involves the direct insertion of the drill pipe into the Float Shoe or Collar, allowing cement to be pumped through the drill pipe until the returns reach the surface. At this point, the cement is displaced to the bottom of the Drill Pipe via a wiper dart. Later, the drill pipe is efficiently circulated, retrieved, and removed from the wellbore.
In addition, employing a large plug is necessary to separate the cement from the mud during the process, which must be drilled out, along with any cement in the casing. The Stab-In Float Collar & Shoe technique is particularly effective for cementing large diameter casings that are lowered onto the drill pipe. Due to the high displacement volumes associated with larger diameter casings, there are specific cementing considerations that must be taken into account during the process.
