The polished rod is a durable and high-quality product manufactured from high tensile strength alloy steel. The production of polished rods complies with API Spec 11B standards to ensure consistency and adherence to industry regulations.
There are two main types of polished rods available: regular grade D polished rods and end upsetting polished rods. Regular grade D polished rods are connected using polished rod couplings, while end upsetting polished rods are directly connected to sucker rods for specific applications.
Another type of polished rod available is the ultra-high tensile strength and corrosion-resistant variant. These polished rods are made of 20CrMo alloy steel and undergo heat treatment through quenching and tempering. The rod surface is further enhanced with a nickel-based alloy (Ni35) coating, providing superior resistance to corrosion and wear.
