Stuffing Box Detail information
The stuffing box is a crucial device utilized in wellheads to achieve dynamic sealing, effectively sealing the annular space between the tubing pipe and the polished rod.
Specifically designed for pumping units, the Double Packed Stuffing Box (DPSB) boasts several noteworthy characteristics:
1. It incorporates a unique misaligning feature that minimizes the need for precise alignment with the pumping unit, thereby simplifying installation.
2. The primary packing can be easily replaced under pressure by tightening the compression bolts, ensuring efficient maintenance without interrupting operations.
3. Equipped with cone packing, the DPSB enhances the sealing capacity, providing a reliable and secure seal that minimizes the risk of leaks.
4. The Lub Upper Gland (LUG) is fitted with a grease zerk, enabling easy lubrication of the polished rod to optimize performance and prolong its lifespan.
5. Optional components, such as the Oil Reservoir Gland (ORG) and Anti-Pollution Adapter (APA), are available to cater to specific requirements and enhance functionality.
6. The LUG is designed with two heavy hex nuts on each bolt, enabling it to support a significant load of up to 20,000 lbs. during well servicing, ensuring stability and safety.
7. A flanged bottom connection can be accommodated upon special order, allowing for customized installation based on specific needs.
